USA Independence Day Recital

On Saturday 4 July, regular Saturday recital will take place at 12 noon, followed by a special recital at 3.00 pm commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence (4 July 1776).

Performed by Trevor Workman, the afternoon programme features a wonderful selection of American music and much-loved favourites, including Liberty Bell, Shenandoah, The Entertainer, Close to You, Can’t Help Falling in Love, Battle Hymn of the Republic, America the Beautiful, and concludes with The Star-Spangled Banner.

The recital reflects the rich musical heritage of the United States while celebrating the continuing tradition of free public carillon performances that have been enjoyed in Bournville for 120 years.
