Caroline Sharpe Guest Recital – Saturday 8 August
We are pleased to welcome Caroline Sharpe to Bournville for two guest recitals on the Bournville Carillon on Saturday 8 August at 12 noon and 3.00pm.
Caroline lives in Leicestershire, where she is Borough Carillonneur for Loughborough, playing the 47-bell Carillon at Loughborough's War Memorial Tower. She has performed recitals at carillons throughout the UK and has recorded carillon performances for both television and radio.
Alongside her work as a carillonneur, Caroline runs and leads community choirs across Leicestershire, directs the Belvoir Wassailers male voice choir and the Caroline Sharpe Singers, performs as a soprano soloist in opera and oratorio, and is also the vocalist in a jazz ensemble.
12 noon recital
The lunchtime recital features a varied programme including Prince of Denmark's March, Feed the Birds, Lullaby of Birdland, Flower Duet, Angels, Around the World and Over the Rainbow.
3.00pm recital
The afternoon recital includes Prelude No. 5, Songs from Childhood, Memory, Vincent and Don't Stop Me Now, together with other well-loved favourites.

Recitals are free to attend, and everyone is warmly invited to listen from Bournville Village Green and the surrounding area.
