Although it's difficult to beat Christmas Eve in Bournville with thousands of people joining together to sing carols accompanied by the Carillon, New Year’s Eve on the Green is a very special way to welcome the new year.
This is another long standing Bournville tradition that has likely been going for 100 years - Trevor has played for the last 60 years and we know his predecessor Clifford Ball did the same throughout his 40 years as Carillonneur!
Join Trevor tonight as he plays each of the 12 chimes of the clock striking midnight, followed by the 'Grandsire Caters' simulating traditional change ringing (see video). The 30-minute recital then includes Auld Lang Syne, the National Anthem, and other tunes – all set against the spectacular backdrop of local fireworks lighting up the sky!
The weather looks perfect: cold, crisp, and clear skies for the best views and sounds.
Wrap up warm and come along to Bournville Green to start 2026 in the best Bournville way.
Happy new year!
