The Carillon Visitor Centre.

After being closed for many years in consequence of vandalism, the 'Rest House' was established in 1997  as the 'Carillon Visitor Centre '. Situated in the centre of Bournville Village Green, this historic building is well worth a visit in it's own right.

 

Open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4.30pm (except for the month of January).

In this charming and peaceful setting you can sit and watch carillon videos, or simply look at the display boards.

Tours.

 

Our popular tours return will return in 2016. Bournville Village Trust have commissioned work to enhance the experience. Look out for further details.

 

Until then, you can watch the Carillonneur live on the television in the Visitors Centre. Recitals take place on Saturdays (normally at 12:00 and 3:00, except for the month of January). There are people on hand who can explain the background, answer questions and provide information.

Local crafts and gifts.

 

You will also find an eclectic range of arts and crafts, some made locally, along with books and recordings relating to Bournville and the carillon.

 

A minimum of 20% of all proceeds from shop sales goes to supporting carillon activities and promotion.
