Celebrating Elgar: Recital by Trevor Workman
Trevor's programme on 27th May celebrates one of the most famous British composers, Sir Edward Elgar. He was born in Lower Broadheath, near Worcester, on 2 June 1857 and died on 23 February 1934. Among his best known compositions are orchestral works including the 'Enigma Variations', Pomp and Circumstance Marches, concertos for violin and cello, and two symphonies.
